Protective & Corrosion Resistant Coatings
Industrial environments are hard on equipment, structures, and facilities. Moisture, chemicals, salt, heat, and constant use all accelerate corrosion—and once corrosion starts, it spreads fast. Our protective and corrosion-resistant coating systems are designed to stop deterioration, extend service life, and protect high-value assets long-term.
We work with industrial, commercial, marine, aerospace, and infrastructure clients who need more than cosmetic paint. These coating systems are engineered to preserve function, maintain safety, and avoid costly replacement or downtime.
Coating Systems Built for Long-Term Protection
Every corrosion-resistant coating system starts with the environment and the asset—not a one-size-fits-all product. We evaluate exposure conditions, substrate type, service life expectations, and operational demands before selecting a coating system.

Our protective coating systems are commonly used for:
-
Structural steel and load-bearing components
-
Industrial equipment and machinery
-
Tanks, piping, conduit, and pressure vessels
-
Marine, coastal, and high-moisture environments
-

Ammonia Condensers
By matching the correct coating to the conditions, we help clients slow corrosion, reduce maintenance cycles, and extend asset life by years—often decades.
Corrosion Protection for Critical Assets
Corrosion doesn’t just damage surfaces—it compromises structural integrity, safety, and performance. For many clients, replacing equipment or structural components can cost hundreds of thousands—or millions—of dollars. Protective coatings offer a cost-effective alternative that keeps assets operational and compliant.

We regularly apply corrosion-resistant coatings for:
-
Steel frameworks and industrial supports
-
Marine and coastal infrastructure
-
Processing equipment exposed to chemicals or moisture
-
Aging assets requiring life-extension solutions
These systems are especially valuable when downtime must be minimized or replacement isn’t feasible.
Surface Preparation That Stops Corrosion at the Source
A coating system is only as strong as the surface beneath it. Proper preparation is critical for long-term corrosion resistance and coating performance.
Our surface preparation methods include:
-
Laser cleaning for precise rust and coating removal
-
Mechanical grinding and needle scaling
-
Abrasive blasting
-
Chemical and solvent cleaning
By fully removing corrosion, contamination, and failing coatings, we ensure maximum adhesion and long-term system performance.
Facility-Applied and Field-Applied Coating Systems
Protective coatings can be applied either in our climate-controlled facility or directly on-site, depending on project size, access, and operational needs.

Facility-Applied Coatings:
Ideal for components that can be transported and require controlled conditions for curing, inspection, and finish quality.
Field-Applied Coatings:
Used for fixed structures, large assets, or equipment that must remain operational during the project.
We help determine the best approach to ensure coating performance, safety compliance, and minimal disruption.
Designed to Extend Asset Life & Reduce Replacement Costs
Protective and corrosion-resistant coatings are an investment in longevity. Many of our clients choose these systems specifically to avoid premature replacement, reduce maintenance frequency, and protect equipment.

These surface preparations and coatings:
-
Extend asset service life
-
Reduce corrosion-related failures
-
Improve safety and compliance
-
Lower long-term operating costs
Whether protecting new assets or restoring aging infrastructure, our coating systems are built for real-world industrial performance.

Industrial Painting & Coatings Projects
Our project gallery highlights before-and-after industrial painting and coating work, showcasing surface preparation, coating application, and finished performance across aerospace, marine, military, and industrial projects.
Ammonia Condenser Painting- Delaware
Cowboy Painting Co. restored an ammonia condenser structure in Delaware, including rusted steel frames, ammonia lines, railings, and a caged ladder. The project involved needle scaling, grinding, laser surface cleaning, priming, and at facility-based painting, applying the appropriate OSHA color coding to pipes to protect the asset and ensure inspection-ready compliance. This process restored the structure’s durability, extended its service life, and provided a professional, long-lasting finish.

Structure Steel Painting — Pennsylvania
Cowboy Painting Co. performed on-site surface preparation and painting of a steel structure in Pennsylvania, including beams and building components. The team prepped the surfaces, applied primer, and coated with industrial-grade paint, providing long-term corrosion protection and a professional finish. Performing this work in the field allowed the project to stay on schedule without relocating heavy equipment or dismantling structural components, delivering durable results under real-world conditions.

15,000 Sq Ft Fire Station Epoxy Floor Coating — Delaware
Cowboy Painting Co. completed a 15,000-square-foot epoxy floor coating project at an active fire station in Delaware, where the existing floor had become a slipping hazard. To keep the department fully operational, the project was phased in sections with a temporary wall, allowing emergency equipment to remain in service throughout the work. Our team removed baseboards, diamond-ground the concrete, repaired cracks and surface damage, and applied a four-stage epoxy coating system with a fully broadcasted, non-slip topcoat. The project also included up to four custom color layouts for safety markings, fire truck parking areas, and designated walking zones, resulting in a durable, safe, and highly functional floor built for emergency response environments.

Food & Beverage Facility Painting
Inside this ammonia condenser, inches of rust, dirt, and leaks threatened both the equipment and the supporting steel structure 45 feet above the ground. Cowboy Painting Co. drained the condenser, removed all rust and debris, repaired holes, and applied marine-grade coatings to protect the interior from corrosion and water damage. This facility-based restoration ensured the condenser was safe, fully functional, and long-lasting, extending the service life of this critical industrial asset
